  Job Purposes/Objectives:
  • Ensure the effective implementation of the Process and Performance procedures and policies in the region.
  • To ensure all related Procurement policies are implemented and complied with in the region.
  • Ensure that the Purchase to Pay (P2P) processes are implemented and lead the regional P2P team efficiently and effectively.
  • To establish all required process for the implementation of the procurement policies.
  • Report all Procurement KPIs and prepared performance reports of the plants in the timely manner.
  • To implement category strategies for Direct within the country (Automotive Plant) to deliver value in terms of cost and service to the business lines, and to support the Category Director in developing those strategies.
  • Lead all categories team for Auto Malaysia in sourcing and achieving all input cost control objectives.
  • To develop and enhance the competency of the Procurement teams in the region and countries.
  • Ensure high spend/ high environmental impact suppliers are evaluated via EcoVadis platform.
  
  Job Responsibilities/Duties:
  1. Liaise and communicate with the Central Process and Performance team and Finance.
  2. Lead and coordinate with the Procurement team of all categories (Direct & transport, etc) for reporting of KPIs, process and policy compliance and categories updates.
  3. Achieve major financial targets of the business or the function with a positive and forward-looking mindset in challenging market environment.
  4. Ensure employees’ Health, Safety and Ethics & Compliance to protect our people.
  5. Identify key initiatives, put resources on them, accelerate them, and show tangible results, while managing existing business.
  6. Support digitalization programs like implementation of all procurement systems and tools including changes and updating of system covering SAP, Ariba, CIP, etc.
  7. Diverse talent and develop an inclusive culture in your organization, unlock individual potential, and cultivate a diverse talent pool. To identify the training needs and organise training activities for enhancing the skill level and competency of the procurement team.
  8. Establish the sourcing strategies for each commodity for responsible categories of materials and services.
  9. Managing supplier risk by sourcing for alternate suppliers to the high cost and potential delivery risk or sustainable business risk.
  10. Managing the rolling forecast plan / budget process and support the team to provide accurate forecast for financial analysis.
  11. To prepare Procurement KPI reports for Auto Malaysia with analysis of data and compilation of categories updates.
  12. To support the procurement team to establish targets and objectives.
  13. To conduct performance evaluation for the team in the absence of Procurement Country Manager.
  14. To ensure team comply to the Procurement policies and procedures, including Ethics and Compliances.
  15. To comply with the company's EHS policy and regulations for supplier and contractors.
  16. Ensure all necessary requirements by the local government/authorities are fulfilled and maintained (example: SST or Duty Exemption MIDA).
  17. Review payment terms annually with suppliers to generate cash flow improvement.
  18. Lead continuous improvement activities the capability of the supply base in quality, delivery, design support, lean supply, and cost reduction.
  19. Support operating budgets and ensure goals/objectives are in-line with the business plan.
  20. Lead and achieve regional EcoVadis target by category, including data analysis and improvement plans.
