    Job Summary:
    The Purchaser/Buyer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, products, and services essential for our operations. The role involves managing supplier relationships, ensuring cost-effective procurement, and maintaining inventory levels in line with company requirements.

    Key Responsibilities:
    1. Procurement and Sourcing:
    - Identify and evaluate potential suppliers.
    - Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers.
    - Issue purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

    2. Inventory Management:
    - Monitor inventory levels and reorder materials as needed.
    - Coordinate with warehouse and production teams to manage stock levels.
    - Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.

    3. Supplier Management:
    - Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
    - Evaluate supplier performance and address any issues or concerns.
    - Source alternative suppliers to ensure continuity and competitiveness.

    4. Cost Management:
    - Analyze market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
    - Implement strategies to reduce procurement costs while maintaining quality.
    - Prepare and maintain cost reports and budgets.

    5. Compliance and Documentation:
    - Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and regulations.
    - Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier performance.
    - Assist in internal and external audits related to procurement.

    6. Collaboration:
    - Work closely with the finance department to ensure timely payment of invoices.
    - Coordinate with the production and logistics teams to meet operational needs.
    - Participate in cross-functional teams to support business objectives.

Qualifications

  • Requirement

    1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
    2. At least 3 years of working experience as a Purchaser, Buyer, or in a similar role.
    3. Strong negotiation and communication skills.
    4. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    7. Knowledge of market research and supplier evaluation techniques.
    8. Experience in Shipping field with LMW Knowledge is added advantage
