Job Description
The Sales Director is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to drive revenue growth and continuously build a robust customer pipeline. This position plays a pivotal role in leading and executing the company's business development by generating quotes, analyzing risks, and negotiating customer expectations against company’s capabilities. This role is expected to build strong relationships with customers and manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to purchase order (PO) negotiation and production handoff. This position reports to the General Manager working cross-functionally to develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies and collaborates with the operations team on product development and New Product Introduction (NPI).The ideal person for this role brings their experience and network to drive results, thrives in a challenging environment, and delivers exceptional customer experiences. Success in this role comes from seeking opportunities to learn and educate themselves in emerging technologies.1. Prospecting Customers and Expanding Company Business (~30% of the time) - Collaborates and coordinates with the General Manager and COO to discuss potential leads and confirmed referrals to assess what research needs to be done to make informed decisions to effectively execute sales processes. Looks into various markets (Renewable Energy, Semiconductors, Medical Devices, Robotics, Industrial Equipment and Life Sciences) and identifies key titles/people that fit within the capabilities of company for opportunities to offer production solutions and technical information. Develops a pipeline of potential customers and strategically communicates with them to identify opportunities to transition a lead from a potential to an existing customer. Uses existing professional relationships acquired from previous experience to identify opportunities for expansion into new regions within the SEA, APAC & Europe. 2. Converting Leads into POs (~40% of the time) - Provides advanced custom solutions through company’s manufacturing and production process that is tailored to meet the specific needs of a customer. Recognize opportunities and solutions that company can provide that align with the needs of the customer to develop a sound plan that both internal and external teams can buy into. Partners closely with the customer to identify issues and solutions as they have concerns or questions about the production plan. 3. PO Handoff to the Production Team (~20% of the time) - Partners with the Program Manager to lead and communicate the specifics of the PO to align with and negotiate any final concerns and questions from the production team. Is detailed in the documentation and clear in communication for internal meetings and one on one discussions as needed. 4. Marketing and Administrative Initiatives (~10% of the time) - Coordinates with the Marketing / Customer Operation department to create and develop custom collateral to find better leads and promote company’s products and services. Creates and reviews technical blogs to promote company’s initiatives.
