Job Description
Job Summary
The General Sales Manager is responsible for leading and managing the entire sales organization including both the indoor and outdoor sales teams. This role involves developing and executing strategic sales plans, driving revenue growth, building strong customer relationships, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The General Sales Manager must demonstrate strong leadership, in-depth industry knowledge, and the ability to manage high-performing teams in a competitive engineering and manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Leadership
1. Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company revenue and profitability targets.
2. Lead, motivate, and manage the indoor and outdoor sales teams to meet or exceed sales objectives.
3. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities.
4. Set clear goals, KPls, and performance metrics for the sales teams.
Team Management & Development
1. Oversee recruitment, training, and development of the sales team, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed for success.
2. Foster a collaborative and results-driven sales culture.
3. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and feedback to improve individual and team performance.
4. Promote cross-functional collaboration with other departments, including marketing production, and engineering.
Client & Relationship Management
1. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners.
2. Negotiate and close high-value contracts with clients.
3. Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing client needs and resolving issues promptly.
4. Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.
Sales Operations & Reporting
1. Monitor and manage the sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.
2. Analyze sales performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
3. Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing guidelines, and sales processes.
4. Prepare and present regular sales performance reports to senior management.
Qualifications
Requirement
- Possess at least Degree in relevant field
- At least 18 years of experience and above in relevant positions preferably in similar industry.
- Excellent in planning and organisation skills.
- Strong problem solving skills, leadership skills and decision making skills.
- Business strategic thinking and result oriented.
- Open minded and sensitive with the latest enforcement in the industry/market.English Level
