  • Job Description

    THE POSITION
    Objective assurance activity designed to add value and improve the group's internal control operations so as to be the core driver for the group to accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes.

    Candidates must be willing to travel up to 30% of the time. This position is reporting to the Senior Internal Audit Manager and will be located in Penang, Georgetown.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    To assist the Manager, Risk Management and Audit in the following areas:
    • To perform risk management and internal audit works in accordance to the approved Audit Charter and Internal Audit plan
    • To present the audit findings and recommendation to the auditee during audit exit meeting
    • To complete the documentation after completion of audit/ or other assignments for review
    • To prepare internal audit report after completion of audit/special assignments for review
    • For any audit findings detected, to perform follow-up to ensure the agreed actions plan are executed to address them accordingly
    • To carry out any special audit/investigation jobs (as and when required)

Qualifications

  • Requirement

    - Education Background :Degree in accounting/finance and candidate pursuing professional accounting or internal audit qualification

    - Experience: At least 3 years of experience preferably initially in a professional audit firm and then reinforced exposure in internal audit in a manufacturing concern.

    - Required Skills:
    1. Preferable a Member of Institute of Internal Auditors Malaysia (IIAM) or Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).
    2. Possess the knowledge of ERP systems, Windows and MS Office applications
    3. Good interpersonal and communication skills with well spoken and written English
    4. Positive attitude and approach in problem management
    5. Self-starter and can work independently with little supervision
    6. Results and teamwork oriented with initiatives and drive to complete assigned tasks within the stipulated deadline
    7. High level of professional discipline and integrity
    8. Ability to speak and read Mandarin is essential
