  • Job Description

    【Job Responsibilities】:

    • Assist in preparing materials for internal training on professional and regulatory standards
    • Assist in maintaining and developing tools, templates, and resources used by the audit and assurance department
    • Assist in updating and enforcing firm’s quality management policies and procedures
    • Assist in monitoring operating effectiveness of the Firm’s internal controls and quality of audit engagements, with reporting and follow-up on remedial actions
    • Assist in implementing changes to the Firm’s audit methodology and intellectual resources to maintain compliance with latest professional standards and applicable approved accounting and auditing standards in Malaysia
    • Liaise with personnel at branch offices to obtain information on compliance with firm’s internal controls
    • Conduct research and information compilation on matters of importance to the audit and assurance department
    • Participate in any other ad-hoc projects or assignments which may be assigned on a need basis
    • Direct reporting to Technical Department manager and/or partner

Qualifications

  • Requirement

    - Education Background : Degree in Finance / Accounting / Economy or equivalent qualification.
    - Member of a recognized accounting body (i.e. MIA, ACCA, CPA, MICPA, ICAEW or equivalent) would be added advantage.
    - Experience: Minimum 5 years of audit assurance experience.
    - Others: MFRS and MPERS standard knowledge
    - Have strong working knowledge of the MIA By-Laws, auditing standards and international and local accounting standards.
    - Be current on industry development related to professional and regulatory standards
    - Able to work independently as well as a team player.
    - High degree of self-motivation, results-oriented and able to work independently.
    - Strong ability to listen, analyze and resolve issues independently
    - Effective management of competing priorities and to complete tasks/projects in a timely manner and to a high standard
    - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with excellent command in spoken and written English.
