This role will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of machinery, equipment, and facility infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime through proactive maintenance and timely repairs. The Plant Engineer will also manage facility operations, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Additionally, they will handle plant improvement projects, from new equipment installations to facility upgrades. While not a requirement, knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modeling) would be a beneficial skill for optimizing plant layout and maintenance planning. This role will enhance plant efficiency, reduce downtime, and contribute to the long-term sustainability of our operations1. Machine Maintenance and Repair:• Develop, implement, and monitor preventive maintenance schedules for all plant machinery and equipment.• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to machinery, minimizing production downtime.• Coordinate with internal and external vendors for machine repairs, upgrades, and modifications.• Conduct regular inspections of machinery to ensure optimal performance.2. Facility Management:• Oversee the day-to-day maintenance and operation of the facility, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems.• Manage energy efficiency programs and assist in reducing plant utility costs.3. Project Management:• Lead the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.• Plan and manage facility improvement projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.• Work with other departments (e.g., Production, QAQC) to align facility and equipment upgrades with operational needs.4. Safety and Compliance:• Ensure that all plant maintenance work is done according to safety standards and regulations.• Ensure compliance with safety standards, health regulations, and environmental laws.• Conduct safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.• Provide training to plant personnel on safety protocols related to machinery and facility maintenance.5.
